Before we dive deep right in, I want you to know that this is a student project. As such, it is not intended to be an actual product nor site page.

Project Research

The first step we did in managing this project was to create a Kanban board to manage to manage the entire project, followed by providing research on Barre® and their brand voice. After coming up with various names to create a potential new fragrance, we came up with “Nocturne.”

The Kanban board we made to manage our entire project was created in Trello.

Once giving our fragrance a name, we then created a spreadsheet comparing Barre® with various other brands in terms of aesthetic and their unique features.

Creating the Packaging Art

Once we finished providing research for this project, we began to design the packaging art, which we would use later for the 3D model of the fragrance bottle.

We did this by using one of Barre’s own packaging art and Photoshopping the perfume name onto the image.

Creating the Fragrance Bottle

We then proceeded with creating the 3D model of the perfume bottle, based on what Barre® does to create theirs, and placed the packaging art at the center of the bottle.

Here you can see that we created this 3D model using Blender, along with the packaging art created in Photoshop.

Designing the Ads

With the 3D model mockup finished, we moved forward with designing three ads for potential posting on Barre’s Instagram page. I myself created a set of three ad designs, along with my teammate.

Below are the advertisement designs that I created myself.

Our Story

The final step in the design process for this project was to create a launch page mockup, designed for promoting this new perfume. We also created a store page mockup designed to highlight the features of this product.

The last thing we did was to create copy for the product; here we detailed the brand, what ingredients each product uses, how Barre® compares with other perfume brands, and finally highlighting the potential new fragrance - Nocturne.
